Love seeing the little ones but it doesn’t seem relevant for those of us with teens heading to college. This is a very important phase of parenting that everyone here will be wading through but I don’t feel like it’s relevant for me.

I like how it’s a melting pot of different parenting stages. It’s a place I feel like I can ask questions and learn from others. I would enjoy seeing maybe a weekly topic of discussion. For example, how are we navigating the attention economy? Guiding kids through tech?

Not a problem with here but something I appreciate. I think on other social media too many parents take pics of their kids doing silly things for likes and I feel bad for the kids because these sorts of things live forever online, they don’t just go away when they grow up. Here is more wholesome stories and support.

upon first look it feels like a lot of memes & less discussion the memes might be relatable but... I question if its really as valuable as conversation starters can be perhaps some communication cadence on "lets talk about X part about being a parent today" & incentivise practical stuff

It’s best, imo, when it utilizes the hive mind; >ParentingHacks< mode. It’s worst when it’s saccharine or nihilistic. Posts about “how does one best X” are gold. “from the mouths of babes” / “i’m so tired; it’s all shit” are meh.

Would love to see some more honest engagement and help. I’m a new dad of a 1 year old and a lot of content in here is funny jokes, etc. Not enough about the difficulties, the struggles with mourning your life before being a parent despite the beautiful part of being a parent. 🤷🏻‍♂️
