Okay, I'll say that: Italian cuisine is overrated. It's just bread, cheese and tomatoes in different configurations. Indian, Korean and Japanese food is much more interesting.

just came back from Sardinia last week; totally disagree with you here if the number of ingredients makes a dish interesting to you, then we have nothing to talk about i always thought pizza was boring (it's bread, sauce, cheese, herbs, right). Sardinians proved me wrong on so many levels maybe you ate at all the wrong joints, Max?

Where have you been in Italy? Have you tasted meat in Tuscany? Or fish and sea food in southern Italy? I suspect you have tried a very narrow slice of Italian food…
