Today in “she will do everything but buy a gun”, I’ve added a personal alarm to my self defense arsenal It’s like a high tech rape whistle. Activate it and it starts screaming and blinking I’d like for this to be connected to security services like Life Alert is for old people

two birds with one stone here… right oval light, left oval alarm… lightweight whistle too since two is one and one is none. also usb-c hurrah to be clear have never needed (thank goodness) *and* anytime someone hears I travel a lot alone, I get the “isn’t that dangerous” reply soooo

If you’re averse to buying, I’ll start the “buy @keccers.eth a decent gun” party app and put 0.25 E in it. That way you just get one. Will even throw in robust lessons from a trusted trainer. In fact, I’d mandate the training before you got one.

Someone I know had one of these in their bag. One day in the store it just started screaming. Somebody must have tried taking something out of the bag, because the cap was missing - which is what triggered the alarm. But now there was no way to switch off this screaming. Super awkward.
