This cannot be real. I cannot be more active onchain than these people. https://x.com/cited/status/1879889377956180135

Not justifying it, but I believe it: When I worked at Google, I was under Google Analytics (which was under the Google Ads org) and out of the thousands of engineers who worked on these product I was maybe one of a dozen or two who has ever used it in production on my own projects. This is true across most industries. I doubt the vast majority of people working at Oracle or Salesforce or John Deere use their own products. Now, trying to justify: I can empathize that people who are excited on making robust p2p nodes are very backend-focused folks who might not be interested in NFTs or defi. People who are interested in designing provable cryptography and math theorems that satisfy specific challenges might not even be interested in implementing them (let alone using them). Charitably, it's possible to be good at your job performing a niche complex task extremely well without fully experiencing the higher-level fruits of your labour. All said, they should all have wallets and be paid onchain. :P

I mean, most EF researchers I know have their ENS in their profiles, so I'm not sure who this is referring to?

eh need more context but the EF does fund some research that is not necessarily crypto specific but is distributed systems adjacent and lot of those people may not have crypto or in some cases actively dont like crypto. If anything its good to fund people who dont necessarily agree with you, its not like all this I'll scratch your back if you buy my coin has got things anywhere
