Is it me or everything is x10 more fragmented / siloed than 2 years ago? art communities, blockchains, social apps… feels like everyone is in their own bubble

Definitely feel the same way, i think with so many platforms turning to social apps, the siloes become stronger.

In my experience, artists have always been in their own bubble but it does feel stronger on FC

It’s not just you. The digital landscape does feel more fragmented now. Maybe it's a sign that we're all carving out more niche spaces, but it can definitely feel isolating.

I think it’s because “minting” has become so commonplace that anyone can add it to anything. Everyone wants transactions to happen on their platforms so they earn the take rate, either from the transaction itself or the protocol rewards. Platforms want protocol rewards so they segregate and silo 🤷‍♂️ The only way around this that I see is to introduce some abilities for more contracts to be easily indexed on more platforms

I think there were already bubbles, but with the management change at what now is X, these bubbles were spread over multiple social networks, each with their own (changing and evolving) metas. I don't think it's you. But... what can we do to build bridges again?

Yes, defragmentation is the solution, manual work will be valued and computers that people use will slowly disappear, humanity will realize that human existence is based only on real relationships, all other time-stealing fragments that create a false illusion

I feel this. Also seems like it's harder to exist in multiple silos simultaneously too. People really expect you to stick to a theme, or maybe it's more that algos do and only show your stuff to people who also are in a single bubble/silo so you can't really be present in more than one.

it's not just you kaloh things have definitely become more fragmented as more communities, blockchains, and social apps emerge. each tends to create its own ecosystem or "bubble."

The bigger the crypto world gets, the more fragmented will be Those who were newbies 2 years ago now are leaders building their own niche community If you look at this at scale, you see its normal to get fragmented
