Thoughts are weird. Sometimes you have them, and they pop into your head unannounced For example — I remembered a baseball interview I watched of Roy Halliday talking about pitching: on how good pitchers have good stuff on good days, but great pitchers know how to still pitch on bad days

Why would I remember this? And why would I remember this now? Speaking of Roy Halliday though, he was a consummate professional. I think showing up and being a professional really is the difference between an amateur and a professional whatever that means

It's about resilience, not perfection. Great pitchers, like great people, adapt and deliver even on bad days.

I've always thought that a-game and c-game should almost be equally weighted, or perhaps more weighted than one would initially think. For example-- increasing your top skill ceiling vs reducing your skill floor. They're both valuable, but raising your skill floor seems to be better.

I often find the reason for random thought linked to our present environment. Something might have triggered it. If you look closely you might find the answer.

Similar quote from the NFL from like Ed Reed or Ronnie Lott Something something, the only difference between great players and ok players is that great players are great 90% of the time and ok players are great 25% of the time

Oh we remember the strangest things for some unknown reasons. But I think there’s surely a scientific answer: I googled 😅

Probably some positive/negative day event of your life must have subconsciously connected with this moment which you must have watched to motivate yourself. With me it happens at times as well when all of a sudden Ray Lewis or Jim Carrey MIU speech pops up in my head.

Thoughts are like clouds; in some meditations, you are invited to simply watch them pass. But then, I often experience a thought about something uncommon, and suddenly, I see it somewhere or hear someone mention it. These ones are always very fascinating and I believe that they are not that random

Isn't it fascinating how our minds dig up the most unexpected memories? Roy Halladay's wisdom resonates beyond baseball. It's a great reminder that true skill isn't just about shining when things go well but also about navigating challenges and still delivering your best.

Fascinating insight into the nature of thoughts and memories. In sports and beyond, resilience truly defines excellence. Do you believe this principle applies to other professions as well?

It feel like half of our memories is stored in cloud and when something trigger it, it just there. Like when we hear music then other memories start playing like videos in our minds 😂
