I haven’t had an issue with people thinking the offer is a scam, but I can see how this might be an issue if you’re very early or anon

For starters, you have to convince people that your interview offer isn't a scam. 🙁

I've never had a web 2 recruiter turn out to be a scammer.

The cyclical nature of crypto is real, and I think it makes a lot of people hesitant to join. If you know your industry has built-in volatility, its hard to know if you'll be with a company long-term or if the industry will go through meltdowns like 2022. 

This will improve over time, but we're not there yet.

Good point, definitely fewer established web3 companies that a web2 person would recognize and provide stability. Anecdotally, I’ve heard some blue chip web3 companies struggled with inverse problem: web2 candidates that apply because it’s a brand name, but they’re not genuinely interested in the space or mission

I think one of the reasons is that there are simply fewer established web3 companies in the world, making it harder for those seeking stability as startups come & go. Also, considering the quantity of web2 companies vs web3 companies, it's statistically easier to hear about someone getting hired by a web2 company 🤔

Hiring people without experience in web3… not easy to break in to the industry
