If you really enjoy building, what’s “balance”? A balance of stress vs stress-free environments?

Work hard when you're young, it becomes harder every year. I'm in my late 20s and the amount of free time I have to work compared to my early 20s is drastically different. Work/life balance should be something you assess constantly as your life evolves imo.

I’m still working on it, frankly haven’t figured it out & not very afraid to admit that.

Be deliberate about your non negotiables for the life side and do not compromise on spending time there. Let work fill up everything else as much as possible, dialing back if you sense burnout.

If you take outside money you have a moral obligation to orient your life around the business. This becomes exponentially more true when you have employees and customers counting on you That being said, Tom Brady isn’t still here winning rings by sprinting 24/7/365

I’ve learned work/life balance is not a set thing you can master and control, prioritize what matters to you and keep that top of mind when deciding where to spend your time, the rest of the time just ride the wave

when I feel like work/life balance is getting out of whack, I usually try to do less overall, rather than redirecting time from one to another. i use that time to plan and organize
