What’s a useful piece of advice you’ve received from a friend that you frequently think back to?

Bonus points if it was constructive criticism/possibly hard to hear. 

Mine: “sometimes you need to shut up and listen more”

In web2, almost every internet action has value, some are exceedingly efficient at monetizing these actions. Frequently this leads to user exploitation.

In web3, these same actions (and more) are visible and public.
