After the huge influx of new folks, we spent most of January upgrading our infra and smoothing out rough edges. I want to check in. How's your Rodeo experience? Are there issues that are consistently popping up or annoying you?

IOTA is gearing up with a promising pattern reminiscent of its 2024 performance. This distributed ledger is leading the way for the Internet of Things with its feeless transactions, secure data, and quantum-resistant tech. Keep an eye on those familiar movements! πŸ‘€

Looks like car sales are dropping. Do you think it's due to soaring insurance prices, steep interest rates, or folks opting for self-driving services? What are your thoughts on this shift?

It is pretty clear that Bitcoin as a blockchain is a colossal waste of energy. As BTC custody continues centralizing to a few ETFs, CEXs, institutions, in the long term >50% of BTC will be held by a handful of organisations Might as well just cancel PoW and move to PoA at that point. It would actually be *more decentralized* as PoW will inevitably centralize over to a handful of industrial players and pools due to crippling economies of scale. Plus, it'll solve the security budget problem. As before, the full nodes will be there as the last line of defence irrespective The only thing matters for BTC is it remains a speculative store-of-value, doesn't matter the mechanism to achieve that https://x.com/i/trending/1885868663116296256

Imagine a world where banking is open and ownership is tokenized, allowing value to move freely without the constraint of scarcity.

One thing I learned from cryptocurrency and now social-fi platforms like Farcaster is that money is completely fake and bears no necessary relation to labor as most people had assumed and continue to believe. Its possible to literally generate money out of thin air using clever tricks and obfuscations. Of course people in finance already knew this years ago and the knowledge has simply become a bit more democratized.

The Amazon forests in Brazil and Angola are vital for absorbing COβ‚‚, but they've lost 17% in 50 years. Illegal activities like logging and mining are destroying this crucial carbon sink. πŸŒπŸ’”
