What does Farcaster look like in the near term? At some point this summer: 1. Coinbase Wallet will have a Farcaster-powered feed in their mobile app with millions of existing users. This will be the most significant increase to practical decentralization of the protocol since the beginning. 2. Our app will be called Farcaster. Easy to explain to the average person—"download Farcaster in the App Store". 3. Sign ups for most people will be free. Link your X / Twitter account and no payment required. 4. Wallet will be available on web. And thanks to auth addresses, no more "please open your phone to continue using this mini app". 5. Wallet and mini apps will expand their support to multiple chains. If there's an interesting app in crypto, the goal will be to have it play nicely with Farcaster. 6. We're going to continue scaling our weekly reward programs: iterating on casting and building mini apps, but we're also working on a new version of the invite program that rewards referrals AND retention.

guys, since people continue falling victim to attacks, here's another malware scheme that's been making the rounds recently: Scammers lure victims into a fake job interview using a fraudulent video conferencing application (tbh, that's nothing new). Now the application tricks users into thinking their camera isn't working, prompting (or being instructed) them to run a command shown in the first screenshot. Executing this command triggers a script that installs a Trojan on their device (as seen in the second screenshot). I obtained the malware for both ARM64 and x86_64 architectures and uploaded it to VirusTotal: - ARM64 VT hash: 0a49f0a8d0b1e856b7d109229dfee79212c10881dcc4011b98fe69fc28100182 - x86_64 VT hash: c6774961e12c14b91f6673ad47ce44d489cdbdd193e031ded367a36f531b6ab9 This is again a warning - PLEASE DO NOT INVOKE RANDOM CODE SOME RANDOM DUDES/APPLICATIONS SHARE WITH YOU. It can completely wreck you.

2025 will be the year that crypto marketing will improve 10x Here are my general thoughts for the year ahead: 1) As more products find PMF, marketing becomes a key differentiator between those that do good vs those that do great. 2) We expand beyond our tiny CT bubble into other social platforms. Higher quality content starts to be produced and permeate YT and TikTok instead of the current shills and 100x clickbaits on those platforms. 3) Marketing goes beyond Twitter shitposting. Teams explore more types of marketing (Product marketing, content and SEO, etc). 4) Marketing influence seeps into product. Growth hires, intersection of marketing and product, become key hires. Teams take incorporating viral loops, share-ability, user funnels and their journey more seriously.
