This was a thought-provoking exhibit which represent identity in the context of systems. On the subject of "intersubjectivity", who's PhD thesis was on the topic of identity in information systems. He recommends chapter 21 of "The Wave in the Mind" as well https://iiexhibition.studio/gallery

I'll bring out the big boys Spinoza, Ethics - self as part of nature identified by all other selves (not easy too read) Hume, Treatise on human nature - self is nothing more than this bundle of perceptions connected by an association of ideas Rorty, Objectivity, Relativism, and Truth - self as fragmentation

You're likely going to get a lot of recommendations of Laozi, Basho and various Maharishi's. All which are great, but a book I found helpful was "The spiritual journey of Alejandro Jodorosky". A lot of wild stories within its pages, but in reading his philosophical journey I was able parallel growth in mine.

Augustine’s Confessions is really interesting. He is one of the first to explore the concept of the “Who” The whole work is also an exploration of the self as a constructed story

if it’s personal identity theory, you want Derek Parfit’s Reasons and Persons (best summarized in McMahan’s Ethics of Killing Chapter 1), Locke’s An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, Hume’s Treatise on Human Nature. Searle has a good summary here: https://youtu.be/WwipmspceOU?si=lBd0AxE3uHBQqlNb
