What are the best running shoes? I've recently learned you should be cycling between 2-3 types of shoes at a time to protect against injury? I wear Hokas now and love them

Truly depends on your foot type/striking pattern tbh (no one size fits all - it's super personal 🖤) My current rotation is: - Hoka Clifton/NB Fuelcell for recovery runs - NB RC Elite/Saucony Endorphin Speed for long runs + workouts - Nike Alphafly/Tempo Next % for racing

wait whaaat? i knew you should rotate shoes frequently to prevent wear (e.g. every 6 months) but i haven't heard of running on multiple shoes at the same time..

Recommend going to a good running shoe store once and do the gait analysis to understand if you pronate or supinate or are neutral. Pay the extra on your first pair for the learning then you can stick with that store/brand or move online. Wrong shoe type can lead to injury!

It’s worth going to a running store & doing gait analysis. Different shoes work better for different people! I use Brooks Adrenaline for road training, Hoka Speedgoat 5 for trails. Run 300 mi *max* on a pair of shoes. I race in Alphaflies. You should only run ~50 mi on those.

Brooks and Hokas. Brooks has a good range of shoe structures if you want the same effect with one brand. For trails, La Sportiva is hands down the best thing I have ever put on my feet. They are confidence inspiring.

Love Hokas for look and feel but can’t recommend going to Marathon Sports and doing the 3d scan / having them analyze you run enough

I over pronate so alternate between a stability shoe (Saucony Guide) and regular (Saucony Ride) depending on the length of run.
