What other words can we use aside from creator to refer to people that post on social media and newsletter/blog sites? Content publisher? I think everyone is a creator in their own right but the word creator comes with it's own baggage.

biased but i really like 'Creator' mostly because i think it fully encompasses the wide spectrum of creation while keeping it humanized and without any assumptions around size, influence or output... vs say 'influencer', 'KOL' or 'KOF' all of which feel too transactional

Writer, author, analyst (depending on the type of articles written), journalist (especially given the neo-journalism wave). Bloggers used to exist.

This is a hard one. Creator is such a broad term, and as you state, it comes with baggage. I like content creator. Maybe creator just needs a bit of additional descriptive(s) attached
