Did you know that seashells are the oldest kind of currency? I’ve been taking breaks from working on the newest kinds of currency to hike down to the beach and look for shells. I get a dopamine rush when I see a little sparkle in a tide pool. It feels primal, but also eerily similar to hunting for magic internet money on my computer, like despite millennia of evolution our brains are still pretty much the same. I’ve started airdropping abalone shells into my friends’ hands when I run into them at the post office. I might try to kickstart a new local seashell economy and trade with my neighbors for fresh milk and eggs. Wish me luck.

Parenting tip for siblings that like to fight over things (like who gets the window seat, or the extra cookie, or who gets to pick the movie, or the show, or the playlist, or who gets to go first in the game you're playing, or... if you have multiple kids you know this list could go on forever) try this: rip up a piece of paper into however many pieces as kids there are and write numbers on them (3 kids, there will be 3 pieces of paper labeled 1, 2 and 3). Crumple the papers. Shake them in your hand. Throw them in the air. Kids scramble and choose their paper. #1 gets first choice, #2 second, etc You aren't playing favorites. It's not biased towards the oldest, cutest or strongest kid. It's fun.

at a certain level of traction, no one is going to hand hold you and tell you the right way to go. really important to find people who can help you grow up, though, and do it right. its a big year for Base. ETH is going to have to turn around a big ship, make our a new future for ourselves now that some of the things we've been attributing our failure to launch to are no longer the blockers they once were my personal little chip on the shoulder is that I'd like to be part of a team that moves the needle this year. I want to do it as an unknown who joined Farcaster basically a year ago (next week) without any clout or much $ thanks to all the people who have helped me feel like thats possible, thanks to the quants ran the numbers on dune. to see the future, you gotta see yourself differently too
