Which creative process do you think makes more sense? A - From small to large, from an idea to a greater reality... B - From the abstract to the concrete, the idea narrows down to a smaller reality...

nice viz made me think of two eyes focusing on an object that's how I do it, both at the same time: while you're still early on a project, i put all working parts down on the page at the same time, i make a list of high-level visual inputs or moods as the project becomes more defined, the two converge

They both make sense B for when you're exploring something new and pursuing unknown A for when you have a clear goal at hand and see all or most of the context

I tend to think in terms of B, where your field of imagination/dreaming subsumes those inner categories, and its about refining an initial dream into a cogent idea, into a coherent design, into an executable/shippable reality.

They’re both true in different ways: A. It’s a seed that germinates and as it comes closer to reality, it gains detail and size. B. There’s an ambiguous nature to a dream and as it works its way toward reality, it gets more focus and definition. (IMO, this is the weaker concept bc ambiguity isn’t shown).

yeah I think B Because you dream big but then you figure out what part of the dream is actually within reach and that’s the idea, and then you design to make it a reality

Nice one. I’d say both at different times and challenges. You need B to start, but you need A to PMF (assuming product context). The double diamond always serves the purpose though what’s the context of this viz?

I think currently I am at B, easier to navigate through idea when you don't have a lot of experience doing it right from the beginning, but I see how other people with previous experience building products can interate from small to big. Although, I would imagine for them Dream is still big, with many small ideas :)

I’m a visual and conceptual thinker, so abstract starts in my head, concrete ends in real life action or creation. And I’m a system thinker and have a relational eidetic memory, so only understand things as connected and related, I learn the small parts and big picture as one.
