## Why text-heavy? It's a text-based platform! Yes we support media, but the core activity and engagement on Farcaster today is still text-based. That doesn't mean you can't do well as a visual artist. But considering adapting your post to the platform. Share a bit more about the story behind the art, your creative process, a reflection on something that happened in your life recently that reminded you of the piece, etc. ## Do I really need a title? No, but posts with titles help catch people's attention. ## Direct messaging when I post, really? How do you think all of the big accounts on all of the major social media platforms get big? They leverage their network (even when it's small) to help boost the content. Public social media is powered via private group chats, many such cases.

Question about The Algorithm: casts that immediately get several likes get way more views than casts who get even more likes and recasts but over a longer period (12-24 hours), is that desirable? IMO my better takes are often the latter, I suspect partly due to timing vs size of active audience. I could do a better job scheduling (I don't at all rn) but that feels undesirable for farcaster at scale. I assume you're using a time decay component but I feel like it might need some tweaking, at least until the size of the active audience is much higher.

what about lurking and taking thoughtful actions like actually reading a big thread rather than just replying something? why does this not get considered for the leaderboard? or is it just that the program is focused more on people who cast more only

Have you considered leaderboard ranking for channels (and rewards going to top casters within those channels)? Seeing rewards go to strong channels could incentivize more specialized casts that feel differentiated and ppl leaning into their interests rather than influencers

I have learned so much!! I cast mostly my own photos and writing, I don't use any AI images. I also cast longer sentences about childcare and my thoughts, as I get lined up to cast only photos. I am able to earn rewards almost every week, but this week's ranking is higher than usual.
