Think @kenny had solid thoughts to share regarding a well worn conversation re chrono and reply bumping… > Me using my late lunch hour to tap the like button on all the thoughtful responses to Dan’s query. Heart with a side of Moxie. Kenny offered his consistent take and I’ll agree on the point that it sometimes can be hard to find the active conversation here, yet maybe it’s cause I don’t use trending much, yet perhaps more so it’s because conversations still get fractured. Not sure the solution. https://warpcast.com/kenny/0x0db4ed3c

Not long ago, you mentioned that we need to focus on improving content. However, I believe the issue could be resolved much more quickly if we focus more on inviting interesting people.

I've been a little bit paralyzed on my last composer action because I want to test it more "live" but I am not exactly ready to submit it for traffic the composer action debugger (last I looked) was a little bit limited in that it had no cast context available what's the best way to test or stage composer actions before releasing?

i might recommend redesigning the farcaster.xyz home page and making it more user friendly and educational for new users to learn more about the environment. perhaps add other non-warpcast clients to the page (i understand that this may require vetting or a disclaimer) or a view of the trending feed. the farcaster home page should be focused on marketing to new users - making it look fun for people to be a part of or that they need an account to respond to this trending topic or cast. i am aware that if you dig into the docs to learn, then you have varun's 'farcaster 101' overview, but it might be better for education and training to be more prominent. also - while i appreciate the overview, it's likely too technical for your average new user. perhaps this could be part of 'farcaster builds' initiative, retro grants, or something that the team funds

I still dont understand why there has been no initiative to bring content creators through an incentive program. I understand you wanna get the product right first, but there would be value in sourcing a certain category of content creator, with aligned incentive with the blockchain space for ex., pay them to actively develop their audience on Farcaster and see how that plays out in terms of UA and stickyness. You often say Farcaster lacks interesting content, this would be one way to start adressing it.

fc rules change too often for people trying to min/max their engagement not putting a value judgement on that user behavior just something i noticed.

I don't like the notification of announcements, I have many channels and they send many notifications a day and this is not interesting, I wish it could be limited.

Isn't the Farcaster a community?? Why do they have a lot of followers, they call us the owners of the channel!? If you don't like it, refuse to enter the channel and leave. What's the situation? Is this the update you wanted? It's ridiculous

The Farcaster protocol is solid, providing a strong foundation for social legos to thrive. some thoughts on registration and login. The plan to lower the registration fee next year has excited many, and some even hope for free registration, especially since many Android users get stuck at the payment stage. At there’s a strong desire for easier onchain payment options for logging in. While this is possible now, most people aren’t sure how to use third-party registrations or import them into Warpcast. These changes could lower the registration barrier and make it easier for more crypto users to join. Of course, this might lead to an increase in spam, which would rely on client-side content moderation. I believe Warpcast's current strategy is already effective enough to handle this. Additionally, there’s hope for more apps to implement Farcaster login beyond just the Warpcast method. While options like Neynar and custody wallets are available, they have yet to be widely promoted.

This will totally sound like I'm trying to kiss your ass, but I'm not: I grew up very much online. The internet was really important to me, and was very influential on my life. But for the past 10 years or so, I had stopped using most social media. I lurked extensively on Reddit and Twitter, but I never commented. Everything had become so mean and toxic, and everything felt like one big commercial. Prior to coming here, I had been mourning the loss of how the internet used to feel to me. But here, I feel like I've found the good parts of the internet again. Like they've been here all along, and I just didn't know where to look for them. I've made new friends, and learned a lot of new things. I feel connected to the world again. But in a positive way, not a toxic way. I'm really optimistic about the protocol, in particular. And I'm excited to see what happens over the next few years.

I think you're right. I think we're still not ready for the sort of explosive growth that other users seem to want. The channel rollouts show how important it is to take advantage of the size the network is at now to figure out the identity, structure, and functions of this place before bringing in a bunch of users who would change the culture so radically, anyone here now would no longer recognize the place.

orthogonal clients are going to be important but imo they aren't going to be *the* funnel for new users creating orthogonal media functionality via the flagship client using things like miniapps will draw the ppl that the protocol needs in, especially when paired with onboarding ppl directly to a channel

Bigger picture take: I like that Farcaster's approach is that decentralization doesn't negate leadership. You can value decentralization & have leaders. Farcaster has leaders. You make decisions. Some people love it. Some people disagree. But you do it knowing that you are the builders & have a vision and are living in this 24/7. You seek our input. You listen to us. But you make decisions. I think more web3 projects would benefit from that approach. And I like being a part of the journey even if I don't agree with every decision.
