Didn’t change my perspective, but made a lot of what I already believe to be clearer. Reading Rational Optimist and Time Management for Mortals next.

I am reading an extraordinary book about Napoleon and Josephine that also catalogs the time period in the style of a novel. Had not realized the full extent of the frenetic death orgy it was! Like grotesque and also punch drunk? I feel there is a lot to learn about how history cycles in the characters of the Revolution

Made in Japan. The beginning of the book is unlike most other (auto)biographies I’ve read. He talks a lot about his family and upbringing. The only other book I can recall that does the same is The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0452259878?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
