Butter toasted bread + apple jam I used mostly rice syrup when making the apples jam because I ran out of brown sugar while making it and didn’t have any honey. Tastes so good!

My favorite soup ingredient that I’ve discovered this year is radish. I use them in nearly all of my soups now. I personally prefer Asian radishes (usually Japanese or Korean) over other varieties, but any will do! Adds a unique flavor that I can’t go without now :)

I was looking for advice on how to make excellent noodle broth, and came across this one guy on r/Ramen who passionately wrote a 120-page book on the process of making a bowl of good ramen https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qLPoLxek3WLQJDtU6i3300_0nNioqeYXi7vESrtNvjQ/mobilebasic

Really enjoyed it; good for when you want something warm but don’t can’t eat a lot in one sitting. https://warpcast.com/lama/0xed48f8ff Ingredients: - onion - green onion - garlic - ginger - chicken stock - bell peppers - celery - enoki mushrooms - coriander seeds, cumin

Hi parents! I’m building a product for kids and I’d really like your help. If you have a child(ren) 10 and under, what age-appropriate books do you allow your child(ren) to read?

Cabbage is great, both raw and cooked. When raw, I typically cut or shred it into thin slices. I add shredded lettuce to salads and sandwiches. For cooking, I like to cut cabbage leaves in half or quarters and add them to slow-cooked stews or soup based. Makes it feel v homey.

Sweet potatoes are the best. You can cut them up into cubes or wedges, but if you’re too lazy for even that, boil/steam them them in a pressure cooker or in the stove. When they’re soft enough to eat, peel them (or not; that’s ok, too), add salt, and enjoy! Btw I highly recommend buying Asian sweet potatoes.

Injeolmi (soybean) is a really popular flavor in Korea, and I’ve eaten it in everything from ice cream to pastries to lattes. If you get the chance to try it, I recommend it!

1/ If you want to cook with fat instead of oil for cheap, go to your local butcher and ask for any excess fat. They’ll probably give it to you for free. Grind the fat through a meat grinder and cook with onions and garlic (+ aromatics) until all the fat becomes liquid. Strain the liquid into a jar and let it cool.
