How does Worldcoin plan to solve for people in wealthier countries not wanting to scan their eyeballs (because the UBI isn't meaningful enough)?

Do you think UBI would work in a free market economy? Let’s eschew the whole token + eyeball silliness

Likely through a long tail of value props beyond the financial incentive For example, apps that require proof of personhood to use them, or voting schemes that require you to verify as a unique human Also early adoption of new technology often happens in developed countries b/c it is seen as high status

I’ve been a UBI denier for a long time, starting to have a small view where I think it may be necessary. Outside of that, I think wealthier nations would adopt on the backend of poorer nations growing from such programs, if working as they intend, requiring from bottom up in economic classes.

I scanned to be part of the protocol. Wasn’t for the money. In the US you don’t get anything anyway right now.

I live in a semi posh place in the UK -- they were here, no one scanned it. I sat there for 2 hours working in the background drinking my coffee just to see who would scan their eyes out of curiosity. I think this is going to be a topic of what AI agent you can make work for you and with you.

Not sure it’s a necessary condition for network proliferation. WhatsApp grew faster outside developed countries faster than developing.

The answer to this is also one of the main concerns about this long term - that most people in developed countries will be essentially coerced into scanning their iris in order to access certain financial services or networks

Yea, resource allocation requires solutions from the bottom up, not from the top down. In order to accomplish these goals, the coin must represent commodity / material movements IRL.
