Disqus built on the Farcaster social graph - I want to be able to comment on any blog post, video, website, article and see my friends comments on the same Peek.news revival for FC - Peek.news scraped twitter and built a tech news feed from the most discussed and shared links. Revive this but for Farcaster

Fubuntu - Farcaster Ubuntu, poor man's client, open source, privacy preserving direct cast messages, analog dials to tune the feed - no ai powered curation - straight up chrono feed as default. probably decentralized frontend deployed on arweave/ipfs with PWA configs - paired with an OSS api server (run at home or run by someone else) tailor made to cache hub data - frontend then chooses the server they want to connect to to power the app.

a little glowy ring around our pfp on Warpcast when we are live streaming somewhere (that a user can set eg YouTube, /tavern, etc, like how twitter space works ) I can see how the team may not want this bc it decreases DAU in the short run (since folks will hop onto another app) but look at eg how folks cast in /latenightcrew when it is on, having synchronous spaces that are easily discoverable leads to more async conversations I will pay monthly for this just like any tool that helps creators on twitter

listing a few I wish existed: - farcaster archive service -- ensure all my casts & embed data will be sync'd to a platform like arweave - ZK-caster or some other form of anonymous casting but with credentials(eg. an app builder with 100k followers says...) - a true "wallet app"/tool that focuses solely on showing all the wallet actions of a fc account(approve/revoke signers, buy storage, etc) - typefully but for farcaster will think if any others come to mind & curious to see the responses!

I wish there was something like the NYT Games App on Farcaster There's not enough apps that leverage Farcaster for the profile system or social graph. No builder is using it if they have to pay $5 per user or ask users to each pay $5 Making it easier for builders to leverage FC as the profile system/social graph would be a great potential growth vector

Something for meeting your local FC communities and supporting businesses irl. Yes, we have Events and a few other things but I’m dreaming of the day when we have a full-on Foursquare revival where you can see where your friends are, read reviews and guides and possibly schedule meetups right there. A Foursquare/Meetup/Partiful hybrid is what I’m thinking. Places/events/people all in one spot. Check-in has the basic functionality of the early Foursquare but it should me more focused on community-building.

App that tracks dunk ratio and encourages more optimistic interactions where needed. Arguments are rated by graham’s hierarchy of disagreement. Call it rflct or something. Start on FC. If successful, you could save the whole internet.

I'd like to see more select friend based experiences. Today esp I'm finding the experience of parsing through the Home feed hard to process, its all over the place. I find the "new casts" of the accounts I have notifs turned on for my most pleasant browsing experience. An app that would allow me to easily house my favorite 100 or so casters sounds like heaven.

i've said something along these lines before but: forum interface + advanced search designed for open source / crypto communities to replace discourse/discord we ~want to do this with /splits but the form factor doesn't feel quite right (history is ~more important than feed)

I'd prolly pay a subscription fee to test apps and support devs, like a beta warpcast or something I see so many cool things on warpcast it's impossible to keep up, feel like knowing what apps might be coming next is a huge advantage so yeah I'd pay a fee

I think a Farcaster app or client can and should replace Discord and Telegram for all DAO operations (proposals, voting, dashboards, treasury management, document control, etc.)
