Hi, my name is Mikko, and I'm a creative landscape photographer from Finland. It's FotoFriday so It's time to introduce myself!

I've been a photographer for the past 16 years. I love to capture minimalistic landscape photographs and humans in landscape (mostly myself in the frame). I do enjoy all sorts of photography and try to keep an open mind whenever I head out to photograph.

My goal is to capture the emotion of the places and moments I experience and transform the viewer into the scenery. Occasionally, I do composites and use multiple images to create a final piece.

ok I'm actually not sure why you US people are now making rallies for monosodium glutamate and I'm not sure I want to find out

earlier this year, world athletics asked me to create some illustrations for the paris olympics 

creating art has always been a positive “distraction” for me as professional sports can get really intense 

when i got injured it really gave me something to put my energy into 🎨

i haven’t created any illustrations in a while tho might get back into it

The tower in the back there is the Renaissance Center or the RenCen. It’s the tallest building in all of Michigan. My dad used to work there when he worked at Ford. In 1996 GM bought it and it’s now the GMRenCen. 

Not sure what is going happen to it, as GM just announced they are moving to the old Hudson’s building. 

I think Big Gretch was trying to get them to stay, but I’m not sure

Probably the biggest day of my brief yacht spotting career. Docked today is Dancing Hare, now owned by Anna Murdoch.

This is in fact the refit and renamed Lady Ghislaine, the yacht Robert Maxwell mysteriously fell off of in 1991. Huge get for my yacht spotting life list.
