Should likes on Warpcast also be micro-transactions/tips? I realize we have warps - but they seem duplicative. If every like sent $0.10 in USDC on Base to the poster (and you could tap it as many times as you want) I think we'd see a lot more value going to creators.

1/ in the spring of of my first year of college in 2012, I sat down at table next to a friend of a friend who was visiting he told me about Bitcoin and how he was on his way up the coast to join a company called Coinbase as their first hire that person was olaf carlson-wee and that was when I got crypto pilled

1/ I think EVM L2 blockspace has PMF with a small but meaningful segment of global developers and that @base is gradually becoming the market leading offering for that segment the next big milestone is getting to an offering and acquisition funnel that grows global & base quality weekly builders 5-10% week over week

base works inside coinbase due to: - onchain *actually* unlocking a huge value for the business - @barmstrong backing us through every twist - me spending 5 years prior at Coinbase earning trust, unlocking cross company support from leaders like @danger and @max - a great team - a crap ton of hard work - luck

I see three big challenges: 1. getting blockspace very cheap, while keeping it decentralized 2. enabling wallets that "just work" for everyone from a security and UX perspective 3. getting good enough onchain identity for devs to build great products think we are ~50% of the way on each - lots cooking!

1/ - wake up between 7-8 - work out and center myself before 9 - meetings 9-6, except for tuesday which I try and keep clear - 1-2 hours in the evening for dinner and time with my wife - work until 10 or so, then go to bed - fill lots of the in between time with engaging on social - usually work 4-6 hours on weekend

the lesson I keep learning is that it's never as good as it seems and it's never as bad as it seems and that as a leader it's my job to keep us going through everything there are so many emotional rollercoasters in building base and I am constantly trying to keep myself level and grounded for the team and ecosystem

I still feel like I'm learning every day how to be a good public figure. there's lots of it I enjoy, but it also scary and hard and can feel like a lot of pressure. I am grateful for people's patience with me thus far as i've made mistake. and as i learn and grow in the future, I hope I'll be granted the same grace.
