normally building ’startups’ within the walls of a parent company doesnt work v well — why does it seem to work for base?

base works inside coinbase due to:

- onchain *actually* unlocking a huge  value for the business
- @barmstrong backing us through every twist
- me spending 5 years prior at Coinbase earning trust, unlocking cross company support from leaders like @danger and @max 
- a great team
- a crap ton of hard work
- luck

appreciate you pointing it out, honestly, though, i can sense so much good vibes from base right now that i don’t doubt it at all.

Does a path exist to make BASE completely independent?
