the reason I hate task management is that it takes me an insane amount of mental effort to name and categorize tasks probably why apple notes remains undefeated to this day kinda reminds me of styling css before tailwind

I wish linear used AI to add tasks in batch, fill properties based on workspace, make suggestions, categorize them in projects and initiatives, etc often I end up using apple notes on the go, and then it's a pain to port everything

scrappy looks with a solid, used product is much more promising than good looks with a meh, unused product. one reason this is true is that if you have limited resources and are focused on solving actual problems for your users, you likely won’t have time to polish the looks.

@slice has made history in payments and commerce with the Onchain Summer Shop. This marks the first time such an experience has been carried out fully onchain at this scale. Here's what Slice made possible: ▶ Shop pages and checkout experience powered entirely by the Slice sdk (coming soon) ▶ Instant settlement for the supplier (Slice Merch / @luminode) ▶ Custom onchain logic for all 135 products, including NFT-tiered discounts and gating for prizes ▶ Contextual processing of tax, shipping costs and payment splits with each order ▶ Native support for frames with referral rewards Special thanks to our participating merchants, @coinbasewallet, @base, @coinbase and the entire team for working together to push the boundaries of commerce. Onchain Summer Shop closes soon, but it will return. Stay tuned for what's next at Slice. Onchain commerce is just getting started ▼

Satoshi Nakamoto and Vitalik from Ethereum inspired me to adopt onchain mode Jesse Pollak, Andre Cronje, and Hayden Adams embody many of the principles https://x.com/bchesky/status/1831214349710491913

after over a year of relentless shipping, reacting to endless requests, tight deadlines and what was happening around me, I've realized that a part of my brain gradually became numb. the constant pressure made me highly productive, but also prevented me from thinking creatively and seeing the bigger picture as I used to. not sure if this is a common experience, but regaining that mental clarity feels like moving with ease again after an intense training regime. like sama I also believe burnout doesn’t come from working too hard but from a lack of progress or momentum, in fact I never truly stopped working since I started @slice in 2020. however mental strain is real and without rest the brain cannot function properly. so founders, don't forget to rest and zoom out.

onchain commerce’s biggest advantage is its elegance and simplicity. on the other hand, trad commerce has a lot of complexity and scary-sounding terms https://x.com/gergelyorosz/status/1830649834551828846?s=46&t=Xycl0VRHjoxf04tpQIdxLg

this is why I'm often hesitant to follow advice against my instincts. the hardest part of being a founder is knowing when to stick to the path and when to break away from it. nothing new about it though, so not sure why so much fuss about this term / essay. https://paulgraham.com/foundermode.html
