My sleep fitness scores dropped from 80/100 to 40/50 since I had a newborn. How do parents get a good enough sleep in this stage?

Accept that good sleep is not coming back for a while, cut down on alcohol and take advantage of any snooze you can. For a while, putting my kids to sleep also meant me going to sleep.

Your body adjusts to its new norm. Starting to see the tide switch to better nights sleep at about 2 years. Seems like a long time, but it will come

You don't, but if you are lucky to not be a single parent you might have one person that isn't burdend by it that much. Problem is that it's hard for the other person to realise what happened while they were asleep, so appreciation can be difficult.

many changes implemented: - last meal 3+ hours before sleep - no alcohol 5+ hours before sleep - go to sleep 10PM still not good enough ๐Ÿ˜‚ gotta push through (and take naps whenever possible)

You donโ€™t, and wonโ€™t for several years. Accept it, your health will suffer.

we had a good sleeper but beyond taking the sleep when you can โ€” mine rebounded around 3 months and has been solid from 6 onwards. good luck!
