Hard to explain but I don't feel like we've earned the current ATH prices. Crypto is still nowhere close to usable for the average person and there's a huge learning curve to be comfortable making onchain transactions. Most people view it purely as an investment. Trying to stay grounded and focus on the big picture.

They are more earnest than they ever were before We were shouting eth to 10k from the roof tops last time for absolutely no good reason 😂

True, but we’re getting close to adoption Crypto is going to change digital payments and it’s already hapening I offer my design services now exclusively for crypto on hypersub When it’ll be possible to pay with a credit card for a crypto sub - that’s gonna change the game

Agreed, though part of me thinks that perhaps the ceilings are much higher than anticipated? Like if ETH at global scale is $120k per, this is just getting started.

Agreed, much of the current action is the result of TradFi saying “ok, we acknowledge that you’re here to stay, so here’s a single-digit portfolio diversification into your magic internet money just to hedge our bets” But the space itself still has a considerable amount of building to do toward actual adoption

We’ll to be fair there are plenty of other parts of our economy that haven’t earned their valuations either. If we want useable for the average person as a metric we could revalue our entire food system. As for learning curve, anyone I’ve introduced to with gets it quick. And embedded wallets yatta yatta.

Second thought: it seems like the usability is rapidly changing with growing interoperability, but to me the biggest hurdle is customer service (this space is far from normal cultural standards).

I think it’s changing rapidly, use cases exist and the tech is abstracted + tradfi are in! The shape of this cycle will be very different!!

Well, that’s the problem with developed countries, they don’t really need crypto as a real use case. But imagine if you live in a country with capital controls, 200% inflation rate, avid government with a track record of compulsively trading bank deposits for shitty bonds.
