Taking videos at shows has gotten out of control. Debatably worse than tipping culture in the US. The online part of me is fired up about it but feels like people care more about proving they were at the show than the show itself.

I hear you and agree..from what I've been noticing, its the really big popular shows that have this problem. Like all art, there are plenty of people in it for what some of the purists would say "the wrong reasons." But idk almost doesn't even really seem like a problem. It doesn't effect my experience.

For sure. I love to take vids of certain parts of my favorite songs so I can re-watch them later, but I can't stand when people are sitting there filming for entire sets. Who is gonna watch that??
