"A Complete Unknown" is the best film I've seen in years. Truly incredible performance from Timothee Chalamet, who spent 5 years preparing himself for the Dylan role, and ended up singing, playing guitar, and playing harmonica..I hope he ends up winning an award or several for his performance. Joan Baez was played by Monica Barbaro and she ALSO sang, and played guitar for her parts...which is absolutely insane. Incredible performances by both entertainers.

I mentioned my pops yesterday, Dylan is his all-time favorite. In fact, the first concert I ever remember attending was a Dylan show. His early work is raw, some people love it, some people don't...but either way its an important part of the history, and includes some incredible songs. He brings out the electric guitar for the first time in 1965, and plays with an electric live band...this is when he shocks the world, and IMO starts making his best music. The foot stomping feel he transmits through song, is one-of-a-kind. Here's a playlist of my favorites, starting with the early years in 1962, and ending around 1966. Plus one song from 1976. My pops is the reason I'm obsessed with music..he is an encyclopedia of music knowledge, and we constantly share music with each other. To give you an idea, he put me on to Kings of Leon shortly after they released their debut album, same with The Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket...
