I'd trim off the truly dead parts and then try to change what you think killed it in the first place. I can't tell what plant it is but you might be able to cut and propagate it depending on what it is.

Trim most of it. Change soil. Change conditions. Let it regrow.

This looks pretty dead to me! Worms, some kinds of fungi and natural fertilisers can help revive plants during early stages.
