This is why I think we’re returning to a more local mindset — we can’t afford to be global or even beyond our “immediate locus of control” as @keccers.eth put it That doesn’t mean the internet is going away, but the experience will bend towards a more local internet — ie. Your online friends, fans and communities

Tell me any problem and I'll show you it's a signal-to-noise problem. Going local is one way of dealing with information overload, but it's certainly not the only way.

Plus, the “further away” the info is, the less likely it is to be “truthful” It had to go thru so many filters and bias and incentives just to reach you. But local? It’s mighty direct

the future is going to be hyper global (through the internet) but also hyper local (with local communities that are fueled by our interactions with each other through the internet)

For me there's never been truth, just narratives. And it only changes with the decades the medium on which those narratives get indoctrinated into the masses. Freeing yourself from all that is always a smart choice good for keccers
