Defaults like Warpcast USDC rewards being sent on Base reinforce the (inaccurate) perception that Farcaster is coupled to Base / Coinbase I think this is one of the main issues slowing FC's growth. There hasn't been much frames activity on other EVM chains or Solana, but that's not the egg โ it's the chicken (IMO)

I would approach this from another angle. No matter on which chain it was sent, end user should be able to spend it on any other chain. But realistically, if it was not Base, this USDC wouldโve become dead for many users as we would need gas for this.

Out of the choices available, it seems a reasonable default. Maybe a future claim frame would give user a choice

We need Solana man. Most of what Iโm working on these days is on SOL. Itโs where users are and itโs where clients want to build atm. Itโs also been this cycleโs darling child while ETHโฆ does its thing. I know Solana is possible. I think the major blocker has to do with onchain transactions. But honestly Solana users would use an embedded solution in a heartbeat. They dc about decentralization at all. I would even work on it myself if I could gain access to the codebase. Donโt have time or energy to build a whole client around this.

I think Base is doing a great job of focusing on consumer crypto and that feels closer aligned with farcasterโs strategy. I wonder with Ink, Uni, Sony, etc coming online if this dynamic will change ๐ค
