Defaults like Warpcast USDC rewards being sent on Base reinforce the (inaccurate) perception that Farcaster is coupled to Base / Coinbase I think this is one of the main issues slowing FC's growth. There hasn't been much frames activity on other EVM chains or Solana, but that's not the egg — it's the chicken (IMO)

Out of the choices available, it seems a reasonable default. Maybe a future claim frame would give user a choice
