Firmly believe that cars peaked in the early 2000's Now, you're just buying a surveillance device with a bunch of unnecessary gadgets built in ("wow everything's computer") And longevity is likely to be worse -- I doubt any of these bargain bin EVs will last 20-30 years

feel like we're due for a minimalist counter-movement in car design. the toyota 10k truck is an early sign. but with cybertruck aesthetics. like donald judd utilitarian minimalism.

It’s nice to know where the car is after losing track of it tho don’t miss the days when forgetting where I parked is the reason for meeting my daily steps

I genuinely enjoy my tesla, it’s fun longevity argument may be true, but it is also true that I haven’t taken my tesla for servicing in 6 years now surveillance doesn’t bother me, gadgets are super useful may be I am just a different audience, but not really sure what an early 2000’s car will give me

In my humble opinion 2011 was a peak year for Toyota. Incredibly reliable lineup all the way up and sedans still had very competitive features and comforts.

large part of the reason I was still driving a 2004 subaru forester up until a little over a year ago — until my wife insisted it was time to retire it ... we ended up selling it to our next-door neigbhbor, so i still see it every day 😆

LaFerrari, Porsche 918 and McLaren P1 are mid 2010s. Porsche Carrera 2003, Ferrari Enzo 2002. so yes your belief is valid. What care came after that being better than the 2010s/2000s cars or earlier? @carculture.eth
