Regardless of how these three sentences conclude, my brain is primed for annoyance when I read the first two words. "You aren't ..." "You won't ..." "You can't ..." The complete sentence might be "You can't help but be admired, beloved, and respected by everyone," but those first two words still leave a bitter aftertaste.

I find this UX irritating. It feels like *I* am being punished because the *other* account is not a channel member. Also, I don’t want to “learn more” by being taken to a Notion page that has no clear explanation for this message. Just give me a tool tip or something with a brief, actionable explanation of what the real problem is and a suggested next step to solve it.

The Electoral College, shaped by the Three-Fifths Compromise, disproportionately empowered Southern states. This led to 10 of the first 12 U.S. presidents being slaveholders​. Thomas Jefferson's victory in 1800 is a striking example. He won by a margin of eight electoral votes, but historians point out that 12 of his electoral votes came from the counting of enslaved people under the Three-Fifths Compromise.
