Walter Isaacson on Elon Musk or Michael Lewis on SBF Both coming out in the next few weeks. Planning to read these? Which are you more excited for?

The Twitter gangrene has made me totally lose interest in Musk, someone I kind of respected until he started to be a addicted Twitter user actually. Really liked him until circa 2015. This is sure a plain opinion, but getting harder to swallow the cult around Musk, after so many divisive posts on Xitter the past year.

Probably Musk, I read his previous biography and is unironically one of my favourites. I’m not interested in SBF.

Michael Lewis! His recent podcast series leading up to the book's launch has me hooked: https://www.pushkin.fm/podcasts/against-the-rules/on-background-who-buys-distressed-assets

Michael Lewis on SBF. Michael Lewis is a fantastic story teller, and he had unprecedented access to SBF during the ascension (and fall) of FTX

Is Lewis any good, never heard/read him? If yes, anything you would recommend?

I’ll probably read Lewis first just because I can fly though his books. Will be very interesting to see his portrayal of SBF; I’m hoping he’ll be self aware about how close he was to him (and allegedly fond of him as well). Then I’ll read Musk and not feel about about taking a long time to read it.

I mostly abstain from books like these. The Musk ones are personal branding pieces typically tied to a larger PR effort to get us to believe in a certain perspective that is not reflective to the larger truth.

Michael Lewis on SBF. Micahel Is an amazing writer and his books are super engrossing. AND I think he he had access to SBF before SBF realized he was gonna go to jail, so there's going to be a lot of cool stories in there
