My HRV dropped big time in 2021 and never got back. My goal for the next quarter is to increase it as much as I can. Any tips? I am thinking: - HIIT 2x/week + strength training 2x/week - Journaling and deep breathing daily

I think journaling is good but unlikely to boost HRV. Workout plan seems solid -- I might add short (<10 min) cardio on non-HIIT days. Eating clean + supplementing can help a lot. 0 alcohol, reduce caffeine, and take l-theanine + magnesium before bed. just my 2 cents, YMMV

Did you get Covid in 2021? Unfortunately there is no specific exercise to increase HRV. You can slightly increase or decrease it when stressed or relaxed and copying well with work load. But substantial increase is a chimera

whole body cryo 3x a week increased mine by over 50%. consider that or ice baths.

Regular exercise (HIIT) and good sleep helped me increase my HRV over the past few months

Maybe this helps you too: https://api.prod.whoop.com/url-mapping-service/v1/RpJQSmNcUFCqXOLLiLVaaDwRk For me itβ€˜s mostly great and consistent sleep which is boosting my HRV. Combined with regular training schedule and well thought nutrition I can see and overall change on my side.
