localized and from what i can tell also geared towards the middle and higher-end chinese? see a lot of amazing places in flushing/chinatown but not so much my neighborhood take out spot

there are a few like fantuan or whatever panda but tend to be quite localized...

the chinese take out spots are subsidized?

I kept reading articles about how a bunch of them are subsidized. If they don’t need the funds then there’s no business model

right, but isn't that exactly what slice's value prop was? a niched down delivery app for one specific category that was highly fragmented, often old school mom & pop, who all did their own deliveries and didn't have much of an app presence

every city has a local one and they have their own delivery etc. asked around?
