Reminds me of this passage about the "scenius" — the best you can do is try not to kill it. The broader "scenius" in tech feels like it's gone now. It's less fun and goofy, more like an arms race. I'm glad FC and crypto are still fun, but eventually they'll grow up too.

Great call with @apex777.eth tonight on plans for @veilanon Nothing fires me up more than a really strong founder building on the nights and weekends something that will become a crucial piece of onchain infra. As a long-time Tornado Cash user, onchain privacy was one of the most interesting and compelling aspects of crypto when I was first diving down the DeFi rabbithole. For obvious reasons - it didn't quite pan out but there's always remained a huge opportunity to crush a consumer privacy protocol and to me VEIL feels like it's going to fill that roll. All the elements to be a great FC hero story (as has been pointed out multiple times here). Long VEIL 💎

continuing on the running example: I think most people stress over a bunch of nonsense that doesn't matter as much as they think (especially at the start) like injury prevention, how to "properly" train, types of shoes to run, fueling/hydrating, etc.–just go run

I think the biggest "learning" from running 90mpw for 2.5 years is a realization of how "you can just do things," and just getting started gets you >50% of the way there e.g. it sounds obvious, but I didn't realize the way to run 90mpw is just... to go run 90 miles
