When I posted this, it was the first day I started working on SafeNotes, a transparency tool for DAOs. 19 days later, with the help of talented frens, it has launched! Check it out at safenotes.xyz

I did a neat variation on these at the gym this weekend with the landmine, if you’re looking for a new way to suffer https://youtu.be/GH4VGX76y34?si=rFPUZiVjUllg3bcL

@dwr.eth what’s your take on the idea that farcaster has stolen the voices of Ethereum away from the public square that is X/twitter, which in turn has caused public sentiment to decline.

The Token Utility Framework 'Should we launch a token?' I wrote a guide for answering: - When protocols actually need tokens - How tokens can improve protocols - What the failure modes of launching a token are find it here: https://mirror.xyz/veryearly.eth/XgSF33vzODrjxSC5RIugOAkrBulNFFkLNqWMKGGeK5U

what if podcasts are leaving you worse off? fuck it. podcasts are leaving you worse off. wait, maybe podcasts are making some better off…empirically, what subset of listeners? there isn’t data on that. it’s hard to quantify these things. in the absence of data, what is available? anecdote and feels, which will override empirical data anyway—at least for some. some? empirically what percentage? studies suggest we all activity sample data to support prior beliefs... confirmation bias. Not me though? I’ve built stuff and existed a company. my habits likely translate into higher modes of critical thought. even you. maybe the studies failed to account for individuals with my type of reasoning. maybe. so the studies are inconclusive. maybe. podcasts are entertainment. when new concepts are introduced, my learning habits and modes of reasoning protect me from unscrutinized adoption. maybe an fMRI is needed to investigate this claim. But I’ve heard fMRIs might be bs. maybe.

it's only acts of willpower on the margin that feel uncomfortable. You're already living an extraordinarily restrained and controlled life from the perspective of someone who struggles with what you find normal. For a period you found brushing your teeth a tremendous nuisance, and then it went to the way of habit and even enjoyment. All behaviours can go the way of teeth-brushing.

I’m a machine learning engineer keen on learning and understanding ZKPs all the way up to implementation and testing of such systems. Any recommendations on a guided learning resource? I prefer learning Coursera style with videos, code spaces and quizzes. Thanks!

Steph Ango (@kepano)'s 'Stadium of selves': "Let's say you live 80 years, and each new day is one person, it would fill up a stadium. 60K days in that stadium represent 60K people. And so, your current self—today's self— is on stage. You're in the middle of the stadium and all of your past and future selves are sitting in the audience. Anything I've ever really tried to create was for a version of myself."

Last weekend @hamdi and I set up our own Ethereum nodes. It took 3 hours and basic consumer hardware. The fact that I can secure a global financial system from my laptop is batshit insane. Ethereum is inevitable.
