what if podcasts are leaving you worse off? fuck it. podcasts are leaving you worse off. wait, maybe podcasts are making some better off…empirically, what subset of listeners? there isn’t data on that. it’s hard to quantify these things. in the absence of data, what is available? anecdote and feels, which will override empirical data anyway—at least for some. some? empirically what percentage? studies suggest we all activity sample data to support prior beliefs... confirmation bias. Not me though? I’ve built stuff and existed a company. my habits likely translate into higher modes of critical thought. even you. maybe the studies failed to account for individuals with my type of reasoning. maybe. so the studies are inconclusive. maybe. podcasts are entertainment. when new concepts are introduced, my learning habits and modes of reasoning protect me from unscrutinized adoption. maybe an fMRI is needed to investigate this claim. But I’ve heard fMRIs might be bs. maybe.
