How do you prepare for a hard run ? For me, I need to not think about it, because the excuses come crawling in my head. Also, I do some active warmup before and theragun massage, and we are good to goπ

I do my hard runs on the track, my coach waits for me and so I have to show up. For long runs, I think in milestones, first 5km warm up. Then 5 km to the park, then 10km in the park, then 5 km easy, then 4 km more till the bridge, then 2km to home because the last km never matters π€·ββοΈ

I weirdly enjoy my long runs. It's the medium-long runs that I dread sometime. But I do the same thing as you - no thinking. I just put on my clothes and go grind out the miles.
