Visiting Sapporo and Fukuoka this summer. First time. 

Any top recs for food (especially those unique to the region) or activities?

For sapporo, if you like mutton, I recommend trying Genghis Khan (Mongolian BBQ)🐑

If you visit until early August, the sea urchin (uni) is also good. Triton, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, is casual and delicious🍣

Soup curry and ramen are also local specialties🍜🍛

Fukuoaka has some of the best Mentaiko in Japan. Their seafood in general is amazing. If you're not into seafood their ramen is also great!

Everytime I go to Sapporo I get curry soup! However I'm not sure how much you will want to eat it in this heat 🔥 ☀️
