Capture is usually described from the captured's PoV. Interesting exercise to think through what capture feels like from capturooor PoV. My best approx: it feels like kicking out the intransigent idealists in order to move the pragmatic solution forward, over and over.

There *is* a reasonable word here called "captive" you know :D If true a way, it's the opposite of True Believer cultism, where it's the pragmatists who get kicked out. Maybe all forms of maturation are capture by one faction or the other. The trick is to sustain an uneasy balance and tension between ideological poles.

Capturing is neutral by default. It's simply the game. Capture resistance is actually winning the game. Gotta play to win.
