gm, anybody notice they are changing any spending habits or behaviors due to inflation or the bear market? I just cancelled some subscriptions, drinking wework coffee instead of $7 latte every day, biking instead of driving. PS I know FC may not be the right audience for this, but maybe youโ€™ll prove me wrong :)

Always. Bear or bull be damned, I will not squander money. Except if it's internet money and digital collectables, in which case I'm an unrepentant addict and total lost cause.

I slowed disposable expenses in 2022 when inflation ๐Ÿ“ˆ & stocks ๐Ÿ“‰. Hard stop fast. I shifted strategy to lock up 2023 revenue early & set goals higher to offset unexpected dips. Exceeded goals for 2023 already because of that, so I resumed more normal spending again but with a cautious eye month to month.

Iโ€™m in the buy-almost-nothing club since forever, so not really. Living a quasi-mustachian life helps you be much more resilient to economic trends.

4 years ago I bought an espresso machine. It's an upfront spend but have probably saved $2000 since it paid for itself.
