My biggest (only?) gripe with ChatGPT at the moment is that it’s hard to save content / history. I wish there was a way to pin responses to come back to later. And I haven’t yet found a reliable way to extract a response with any relevant context (e.g. my initial prompt or any follow-ups / clarifications).

Finally got around to watching COIN (the Coinbase founding story doc). Pretty lightweight on details but a good reminder of the importance of being mission driven. Also the first time I’ve seen recordings from virtual meetings show up in a documentary - it added a pretty unique perspective.

I cancelled my Playdate order a while ago and picked up an Anbernic RG35XX instead. This little device is incredible; it’s ~$100 and plays retro games up to the PS1. Books are so insanely expensive here in Canada I was forced to find an alternative. I discovered Overdrive a few days ago and I’m very impressed by the experience. Due dates also create a speed running type mentality to reading that’s gonna be great during my parental leave.

I’m really struggling to gain upper body strength for climbing, even by lifting weights for 10-20 minutes every day and upping protein intake. Anyone got tips for building strength quickly? Do I want more reps or more weight? Is there something in my diet I should make sure I cut or include?

I’ve been drinking more hot water in an attempt to stay warm during a cold spike here in Toronto. I noticed a weird effect where it also perks me up a little, almost like my brain thinks it’s my afternoon coffee. Placebo or not, this feels like a useful tool.

I’ve been excited about Panic’s Play.date console since it was announced but, after sitting on the pre-order list for a few months, I’ve decided to cancel. I love the idea of a small handheld gaming devices but feels like there’s better options out there.
