quarterly thank you note to whomever on the merkle team made the product decision to NOT show recasts on someone's main profile page and instead slotted them to the casts + replies tab (i found a guy on X with great takes but having to scroll through retweets and retweets to find his takes is bad UX)

I considered this a game changing feature when I joined back in February. So much cleaner. Drives me crazy when I have to scroll through someone’s feed on X to find their own art or opinions.

At first I thought recasts were pointless because of this. Then recently, I learned that they still tell the Algo that the cast deserves extra visibility. So, recasts are basically awesome for helping frens without messing up your TL.

I’d actually like it taken one step further where the replies are separated from the recasts. Just when I’m looking through my own replies to catch up on things, it’d be a cleaner experience. Or I can just recast less I guess.

One of the best things of Warpcast vs Twitter Its annoying and i always felt reluctant to retweet cause my profile would be too “polluted” (bad word but its true) Here i can recast as much as i can and empower people without worrying too much i also really love that QTs dont get penalized, unlike on twitter which nobody ever see

Rightt Like i don’t have to worry about recasting a cast I like and it messing up my profile page with too many posts showing there I have friends who are content creators on x that can’t even repost to show support not cus they don’t want to but to not ruin their main profile page arrangement
