quarterly thank you note to whomever on the merkle team made the product decision to NOT show recasts on someone's main profile page and instead slotted them to the casts + replies tab

(i found a guy on X with great takes but having to scroll through retweets and retweets to find his takes is bad UX)

At first I thought recasts were pointless because of this.

Then recently, I learned that they still tell the Algo that the cast deserves extra visibility. 

So, recasts are basically awesome for helping frens without messing up your TL.

Also shows them that you saw and appreciated it, which gives a nice signal boost & confidence
