The craziest part was when the person leading the cancel charge had their own 'cancellable' tweet from the past and the cancel mob got turned right back on them. Wild times. Glad to see the energy behind this die off.

TV scripts from 15yo contain the same slurs people were getting cancelled for, yet no one is cancelling those writers

it feels a like jailing someone today for [XYZ action] they did 15 years ago when [XYZ] was legal

takes very little time to search twitter for slurs

good people need to put in work to repair the damage they've caused and not just expect absolution

yes i can name real people who lost real jobs where it took years to fully recover emotionally, financially. the opportunity cost was immense.

obviously those don’t get publicity like celebs but Jonny Depp lost big roles, Caroline Flack died by suicide, Colin Kaepernick never rly played again.

I was thinking about that but in terms of farcaster today.  

I know a lot of artists that needed to go full blown engagement farming mode for tips that are now effectively ranked lower on the social graph here.  

I wonder how long it takes before you can change and get back on the good side of the rank algos.
